One of the hardest things for me when I became a new mom was finding the balance between my ‘old self’ (the artistic one) and my ‘new self’ (the mom). It’s not always easy, but you don’t have to wall off those two sides of yourself.
I noticed myself getting more and more stressed as the weeks went by. Pre-baby, that meant that I would have spent my evenings drawing, or painting, to relieve the stress. But after baby, I could hardly keep up with any of the dishes or laundry and the thought of creating even a more mess with paint nauseated me even more. I’ve always enjoyed photography, but never really took it seriously in the past. It was at this time that I realized photography could allow me to do something creative that relieved my stress while also giving me an opportunity to spend more time with my new child.
One thing led to another, and I’m so excited to share that I have finally embraced my passions and turned it into a business!
